Red is faster to find because we're hard wired to pick up red very quickly (blood, barred gums, angry faces, fire, you get the point). Greens a bit easier to look at for a long time, which is why NVGs are green. Honestly id just leave it as red. Maybe orange if you have a hard time with red.
